We've been gathering together some resources that you may find helpful at this time of social distancing. We'll add more as we find them.

The Church of England website has a huge variety of help for church administrators and congregations alike. In particular we like

texts for daily prayers - especially useful if you want to follow an online service
apps for your smartphone or tablet to help with many aspects of Christian life and worship - for example, the #LiveLent course or Daily Prayer

A Church Near You has long been an excellent resource for information about all parish churches. There is now the option to find church services that are being streamed on the internet; check out this page. (Our own contribution from SMM will be added soon!)
Our own Diocese of Norwich will keep you up to date with church news in our area.

Many churches are now providing online services that you can watch live or afterwards.

Members of our congregation may remember Louis Darrant, who was part of the SMM family in his ordination placement. He is now Chaplain of St Christopher’s Anglican Church on the Costa Azahar in Spain, and is broadcasting Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Compline. About the church

St Mary Magdalene’s church was once described as ‘a warm place with open doors’. It is a gathering of people from many different backgrounds and experiences and with many different gifts. We acknowledge our own bits of brokenness and limitation, and know the forgiveness of God in the process of being made whole.

We are brought together by a desire to worship God; to open our doors to and share the journey to faith with the people of this area, and help them respond to the presence of God in their lives; to grow in prayer and service; to meet the needs of local people in co-operation with other local churches; and to live with inclusivity, joy, energy and creativity.

We are half a mile north of Norwich’s Anglican cathedral. The church was bult in 1903 and has been extended to provide a hall with toilets and a kitchen. A number of groups meet regularly during the week using our facilities, and the hall and other rooms are available to hire for meetings and events.
